Every aspect of our work is rooted in trust.

  • Clients can trust that Deb Arnold, Ink. will accurately represent them and protect their confidential information even without a non-disclosure agreement.

  • Awards organizers can trust that we will respect their guidelines and be truthful.

  • Likewise, we trust that clients and award organizations will be straight with us.

As a result, we work from the following strict set of ethical standards:

Honesty and Transparency:

  • In storytelling: We will always help you present your company, team, and initiatives in the best possible light, and do so truthfully and responsibly.

  • In likelihood of winning: Given that judges are human and therefore subjective, it’s never possible to guarantee a win. But we will use our experience to give you an honest assessment of your chances.

    • If we feel the evidence needed to win is lacking, we will flag this and may recommend applying at a later date when more success metrics are available. We will still charge for time invested, but you will be saving time, money, and disappointment.

    • Helping to avoid false starts is why we created the Award Readiness Assessment. This set of tools, templates, and processes identifies the critical factors that influence win-ability.

Conflict of Interest

  • We do not write competing submissions for the same single-winner awards categories. This rule does not apply to contests that award multiple winners (e.g., Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards).

  • Similarly, for ranking awards (such as the Training APEX Award), we work with multiple clients, yet would not support more than one company from the same industry.

Independence

  • Deb Arnold, Ink. is not affiliated with the awards programs supported or the organizations that sponsor them.

Spreading Great Ideas

  • Because we work with a wide range of talent leaders, we regularly see both unique methods and helpful best practices in certain areas, and organizations aspiring to enhance their offerings and impact in those same areas. As a value-add service, we endeavor to connect clients who are willing to share their insights and experience with talent peers who can benefit from them.
