Word Up for Wordle

Yeah, I’m dating myself.
I actually remember the day my friend Darlene grabbed my arm on my front porch and in a hushed whisper told me that her cousin Misty (older and hipper than we) had told her what “the new word” was.
“Word.”
What?
“Word. The new word is word,” she said with an interesting mix of pride and skepticism.
But I digress.
So there’s this hip little site called Wordle, where you can make tag clouds (aka word clouds) out of any text.
The two examples here, formed from the 50 most common words in my blog, represent just some of the fonts, forms and colors at your disposal.
If you’re looking for a time suck alternative to Facebook, I highly recommend Wordle.
Beware of the many lame sites claiming to make pretty tag clouds – they’re lying.
