Finally, They Thought of Me

April 20th, 2012

I don’t know about you, but I can’t keep track of punch cards.

I have a stack of them, in a file, a collection that may someday, if I paid it any mind, coalesce into a free 10th item: a loaf of bread, a book.

But someone brilliant, someone sensitive and thoughtful who understands me and my frustration that I can never get that damn loaf of bread or book, came up with a solution: Perka.

Available for iPhone and Android, Perka is “a cardless loyalty system that works on your phone. It lets local merchants give special treatment to their regular customers. The more you visit, the better your perks.”

Ahhh. At last.

I discovered this mobile commerce gem at a gem of a coffee shop (for which Seattle does not lack), Street Bean Espresso.

In addition to winning my heart with Perka, they have “REALLY Freaking Good Coffee” and a fantastic mission: to empower homeless and street involved young people to exit street life through supportive employment.

But I digress: the point is, businesses inspire loyalty when they make it easy for you to do business with them, or anyone else.

What are you doing to make it easier for your customers, clients, internal stakeholders and colleagues to do business with you?
